Prayer changes things, and as we come together in agreement through these strategic prayer targets for Our Nation, allow the Holy Spirit to lead you into a deeper and stronger prayer.

Trump Erases Clinton Lead; Makes Inroads with Hispanic

“After months of trailing Hillary Clinton, a new survey shows Donald Trump is finally tied with his Democratic rival. According to a RealClearPolitics average of national polls, Trump has 43.4 percent, while Clinton has 43.2. The neck-and-neck polling comes as Trump makes significant overtures toward Hispanics, Muslims and Christians. Last Friday, Trump addressed the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference in California by video. ‘National Hispanic Christian – three great words. We are going to take care of you; we're going to work with you,’ Trump said in the recorded message. Now some prominent conservative Hispanics say they'd be open to reconciling with Trump if he changes his policies on immigration.
Trump's campaign is also reaching out Muslims. The Hill reports that Walid Phares, Trump's national security adviser, has ‘quietly opened backchannels’ within the community following the billionaire's controversial proposal to temporarily ban Muslims from entering the country. And in a further attempt to unify the party, Time Magazine reports Trump is expected to meet privately with key evangelical leaders.

‘We'll probably have about 500 conservative, social conservative leaders, not just evangelicals, conservative Catholics, coming together for a conversation,’ Family Research Council President Tony Perkins said. That conversation is slated to take place June 21 in New York City.”

Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe Under Investigation By DOJ Over Possible Illegal Campaign Contributions

“Federal officials are investigating whether Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe's 2013 campaign accepted illegal campaign contributions, sources familiar with the investigation confirmed Monday to Fox News. The Democratic governor and Clinton ally is the target of a Justice Department investigation into whether he violated campaign finance laws.

The probe, first reported by CNN, involves a $120,000 donation from Chinese businessman Wang Wenliang through his U.S. businesses. U.S. election law prohibits foreign nationals to donate to political races. McAuliffe's attorney, Marc Elias, said in a statement his office was not aware of the investigation, but would cooperate if contacted by federal officials.

‘We cannot confirm the CNN report.  Neither the Governor nor his former campaign has knowledge of this matter, but as reported, contributions to the campaign from Mr. Wang were completely lawful,’ Elias said. ‘The Governor will certainly cooperate with the government if he is contacted about it.’ A spokesman for Wang told CNN the businessman holds permanent resident status in the U.S. Wang also has been a donor to the Clinton foundation, pledging $2 million, CNN reported.”

Man In Dressing Room Says He Was 'A Woman Today'

A female shopper at the Ross Dress for Less Department store in Mesquite, Texas, could not believe her ears when she heard a man's voice in the woman's dressing room.

Lisa Stickles told CBS Dallas-Fort Worth what happened at the Ross department store in Mesquite, Texas. ‘I was in the dressing room, when we heard a man's voice,’ she said. She says she immediately complained, but after management went inside the dressing room and came back out, she was told the man, "was representing himself as a woman today.’

Stickles says he did not look like a woman. ‘He was in no way dressed as a woman. He had on jeans, a t-shirt, 5 o'clock shadow, very deep voice. He was a man. (The manager) told me that if I felt uncomfortable in the dressing room with him there...I'd have to wait until he's finished.’ Businesses are allowing customers to use bathrooms and other facilities, like dressing rooms, based on the users' gender identity and not the sex at birth. A customer service representative with Ross said they do not discriminate against the transgender community.

‘What about me? Or my feelings?’ said Sickles. The incident is the latest in the "bathroom battle,” which began with the state of North Carolina taking a stand with their HB2 bill that requires people to use bathroom according to their biological sex. Last week, President Barack Obama announced a directive that requires all federally funded public schools to allow students to use bathroom's matching their ‘gender identity.’ States like Texas and Arkansas have made the decision to fight the directive.”

TSA Boots Head Of Security Amid Furor Over Long Lines

“The Transportation Security Administration ousted its head of security this week because the agency is seeking a ‘different approach,’ not because of any wrongdoing, TSA Administrator Peter Neffenger said Tuesday. Kelly Hoggan was removed from his post amid an uproar over long lines at airport security checkpoints and intense scrutiny of bonus payments. Neffenger said he hoped to find another place ‘for Hoggan's talents’ within TSA.

‘Given the specifics of daily volume, I felt it was important to have a different management approach going forward than we've had in the past," Neffenger told USA TODAY. He said his goal was to gauge how to move travelers more efficiently through lines, rather than just faster.

Neffenger named Darby LaJoye, who was second in command of the Office of Security Operations, as the office's acting chief. On Monday, the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform revealed Hoggan's dismissal. ‘Kelly Hoggan has been removed from his position as head of security at TSA, following our hearing on May 12 on mismanagement at TSA,’ the committee posted on Twitter.”

Taliban Leader's Death Being Hailed as Milestone

“The drone strike that killed Taliban leader Mullah Mohammed Akhtar Mansour is being hailed as a milestone to bringing peace to the region. President Barack Obama authorized the strike on his vehicle Saturday afternoon. Mansour and a companion had been traveling in a Pakistan state on the Afghanistan border. A heap of flaming wreckage marks the end of the terrorist leader.

U.S. officials say Mansour was responsible for attacks that killed thousands, and he'd been plotting attacks against U.S. forces in Afghanistan. Speaking in Myanmar Sunday, U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry, said the strike on Mansour ‘sends a clear message to the world that we will continue to stand with our Afghan partners.’
‘Peace is what we want, Mansour was a threat to that effort,’ Kerry continued. ‘He also was directly opposed to peace negotiations and to the reconciliation process. It is time for Afghans to stop fighting and to start building a real future together.’ While the U.S. hopes a more moderate leader will step in, Mansour's death could lead to a power struggle, eventually resulting in more violence.”

Praise Report 1: Appalachian Awakening Kicks Up a Few Notches in West Virginia

“A spiritual awakening that has led to an estimated 3,000 conversions and appears poised to last through the summer is creating continuing enthusiasm among Assemblies of God churches in southern West Virginia. ‘The past six weeks our Sunday morning services have been more spiritual,’ says Terry Blankenship, pastor of Victory Christian Center Church in Lenore. ‘The move of the Spirit has gone up two or three notches.’ It's not church as normal, according to Blankenship, who in recent weeks baptized 13 converts, or about 10 percent of Victory Christian's average Sunday morning attendance.

‘Our kids want to be involved in Bible study,’ Blankenship says. ‘It's been a real change for our whole valley. It's put me on my toes and brought more unity among churches.’ ‘Some of our pastors and youth groups have traveled a few hours to get there,’ says Adam Pelfrey, director of the AG Appalachian Youth and Christian Education for the AG Appalachian Ministry Network. ‘This has had some pretty far-reaching results, especially for youth ministries.’ Pentecostal evangelist Matt Hartley of Cleveland, Tennessee, held mid-April services in Mingo County. Since then, the ongoing series of revival meetings has attracted visitors from other states such as Texas, South Carolina, Massachusetts, Georgia and Florida.

After meetings in Williamson and additional areas of Mingo County, on May 14, the Appalachian Awakening shifted to Logan High School's football stadium. Casey Doss, lead pastor of The Ramp Church in Hamilton, Alabama, spoke in place of Hartley, who had been preaching at a revival in central Kentucky.”

Praise Report 2: Ohio Church That Nearly Closed Celebrates Centennial with New Growth

“An Ohio church that nearly closed its doors 20 years ago is celebrating its 100th birthday with new construction to make room for its growing congregation. Whitewater Crossing Christian Church of Cleves was on the brink of shutting down, but church spokesman Joe Porter told the Christian Post that the hand of God ‘moving through the leaders and committed people who have sacrificed’ turned it around. The church, originally named Westwood-Cheviot Church of Christ, was founded in 1916, but in 1984 it began to decline after the senior pastor left. For more than a decade the membership dropped off and several pastors came and went.

The church slowly began to come back in the late '90 as it got a second wind from fresh leaders and a new location. One of those leaders was senior minister David Vaughn who came on board in 2003. Vaughn told WCPO in Cinicinnati that the church now has 1,600 people attending weekend services and it's adding 95,000 square feet to its sanctuary. ‘We definitely won't apologize for getting big,’ Porter told the Christian Post. ‘There's nothing like the church when it's working right. We hope people see the obvious hand of God moving through the leaders and committed people who have sacrificed in the past. We hope we learn from the mistakes and continue to trust God to do big things in the future,’ Porter added.”
